A mild evening saw the dawn of Autumn arrive, and with it the 14 and under tournament by Emilio Sanchez provided us with an exceptional start to the season. The battle for ranking points was hotly contested with results unpredictable throughout. The only constant of the evening was the insurmountable obstacle of Akito Miura. Akito displayed great power and finesse, coming through the 7 player round robin tournament with the loss of just 2 games in total. He takes an early lead in the 14 and under rankings, and it's now on everybody else to hunt him down. The bar has been set!

Behind Miura, the battle for second place was extremely close, and going into the final round of matches could of been heading to 3 different players. Ultimately, Siddharth Sagar triumphed, beating his sister to the runner up position. No doubt a frosty drive home awaited the Sagar family, but for sure Mira will avenge her loss in the weeks to come

There were close matches throughout the event, with great tennis being played in a friendly but highly competitive atmosphere. Well done to all the participants for starting the season in such an admirable manner, we look forward to the next event and all it holds
